From Pecos, Texas drive north on Hwy 285 to Orla (just an old store and
historic marker); take Hwy 652 northeast toward Jal, NM for 19.3 miles
(you will cross the Pecos River and the New Mexico State border); turn
right on Battle Axe Road (there will be a big white sign with red
letters that says “North El Mar” and another small sign that says “Pike
Ranch”); drive down this road 7.2 miles and there will be a road that
turns right (there should be a sign on this road that says “Pike
Ranch”); turn right on this road and proceed 1.3 miles to the locked
gate (you will again be back in the State of Texas—combination available
for all property owners); refer to arrow on parcel map for exact parcel
